APL Came to Be
Developed
APL is
distributed by Shining Mountains, LLC, a Wyoming-based company having
contracts with three Canadian and U.S. refineries to produce our
products. We buy NO petroleum stocks from overseas suppliers. APL
was developed from the exacting specifications required in military
aviation. This early product inhibited corrosion in humid and
salt-water environments aboard ships and aircraft carriers. It
enhanced engine component life, adhering in high stress/ambient
temperature environments and prevented immediate engine seizures from
battle-damaged oil systems during combat. As piston fighters were
phased out after Viet Nam, the value of this high-quality lubricant
seemed to be lost. But Shining Mountains saw the potential for its use
in the automotive and other markets. Starting from the same
specifications as in the original military version, Shining Mountains
enhanced the product, dramatically, increasing its longevity. The
result is APL,
a lubricant that improves engine performance and eliminates wear to an
extraordinary degree.
What it is
APL is a 100%
petroleum-based lubricant which is pure oil. It contains no metals,
graphite, waxes, detergent or chemical additives. APL
is a combination of five recyclable petroleum products - no additives!
Purer than any natural or synthetic motor oil or grease, APL
is the only scientifically formulated 100% natural pure oil product
available that increases equipment efficiency and longevity while
keeping other lubricating products from fouling the environment. All
petroleum within APL
is ULTRA REFINED. Because of its highly refined formulation, use of APL
will not affect warranties. Due to its purity, APL
improves viscosity range and extends the effective life of all motor
oils and greases, petroleum based or synthetic. It reduces combustion
blow-by and increased acid neutralization factors, and since it’s
formulated for high wear, high temperature protection, APL
is especially effective in hot climates and in turbo engines.
How it works
APL increases
oil stability and improves adhesion and cohesion of your base motor
oil (natural and synthetic), providing better gas sealing, improved
cold starts and improved lubricating qualities. APL
seals piston rings and coats cylinder walls to prevent oil burning due
to passage into the combustion chambers of the engine. Carbon, sludge
and varnish deposits are reduced, resulting in fewer harmful
emissions.

micro-penetrates all engine parts on shutdown. Upon start-up,

vibration, noise and engine temperature.
