1. Take a sample of the engine oil before adding any APL.
This will provide base numbers for ppm of the chemicals and metals that are in the
existing oil. Add APL to new oil
change and filter. Run for 3-5,000 miles.
2. Now, take another sample. The ppm in chemicals and metals of this sample SHOULD show
much higher on the analysis scale, depending on how much carbon and varnish were still in
the engine. Carbon and varnish have wear metals embedded in them, which APL will clean out. This is why the metal
count will be higher.
3. Each subsequent oil analysis after the second one will read lower metals and chemical
deposits per ppm, until eventually leveling off at lower levels. This will show how APL is reducing engine wear.
